M&G Vintage Auto d/b/a Tuxedo Motor Sports was founded in 1948 as a custom parts supplier and manufacturer of hard to get custom auto parts. We began complete auto restorations in the late 1960’s and took on a whole new generation of cars by specializing in hot roads and English automobile restoration sales and services. George Medynski the general manager partnered with E. Alan Moss and became one of the Moss Motors first parts distributors.
IN 1979 Mr. Len Alcaro of JRT (the old BMC corp.) contacted our firm to supply a totally restored MG-TC as a give-away. This vintage MG would be the very last endeavor of the MG car company. We supplied, this vintage MG and it was shown at the 1980 NYC Auto Show. Since then we have restored a variety of automobiles including Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, Austin Healy, Triumph MG, Sunbeam, Ford, Chevrolet, Jeeps, etc. We began using our foamlam process to create custom vehicles with light-weight custom fabricated bodies. Our body rotisserie allows for proper under body repair and preservation.
Recently our distributor vacuum unit manufacturing and rebuild department has been sold to Robert britishvacuumunit@isp.com. Robert supplies the industry with new proper vacuum units.
As a special note we offer help/advice with partial restorations or simply do whatever you wish to complete your project. Many enthusiasts take advantage of our facility to help with problems.
Tuxedo Motor Sport, will repair items for enthusiasts without knowledge or facility to do so.
